Porthcothan
Porthcothan is a sheltered cove on Cornwall’s north coast, framed by dunes and rocky headlands. Once a small port trading in sea sand for agriculture, it is now better known as a peaceful beach popular with families and walkers on the South West Coast Path. At low tide, wide sands and rock pools are revealed, while the surrounding cliffs hold caves and natural arches that add to the cove’s rugged character.
