From the Minehead Monument to the Cobbled Streets of Clovelly

🥾 Route Overview: The Journey Begins
2024 marked the start of an ambitious adventure: tackling the iconic South West Coast Path one stage at a time. Accompanied by my faithful Cocker Spaniel, Roxie, we traded the everyday for the elevation gains of the Somerset and Devon coastlines.
Key Milestones in this Video:
- The Starting Line: Leaving the Coast Path Monument in Minehead and tackling the grueling climb up North Hill.
- Wooded Wonders: Navigating the deep valleys of Culbone and the towering, stream-lined cliffs leading into Lynmouth.
- Geological Marvels: Walking through the world-famous Valley of the Rocks and conquering The Great Hangman (the highest point on the entire path).
- The Golden Sands: A shift in pace through the surf-hubs of Woolacombe, Baggy Point, and Croyde Bay.
- The Estuary Trails: Trading the rugged cliffs for the gentler paths of Braunton, Barnstaple, and the historic quay at Bideford.
- The Finish Line: Ending the season at the famous cobbled streets of Clovelly, looking forward to the “roller coaster” of the Atlantic coast ahead.
